Catching up

Well I have done fairly well at not drinking soda. I have had a few, but I am doing better. However, I feel as though I am not really getting any where. So I am going to concentrate on just doing things slower. I need to make things habits. I need to take things one step at a time, instead of trying to change everything at once.

Update

In the last three weeks I have only had carbonation twice (go me!!).
I haven't found any super yummy snacks that are healthy. I love fruit, but I can only eat so much of it.
I was walking through Costco a few weeks ago, and they had the Wii Fit Plus. I bought it. Surprisingly it is super fun, easy, and it really works. Kraig has had a lot of fun with it too!!
I have lots a little bit of weight, I have lost about 1 pound!!

Trying new things





On my quest to becoming healthier, I am trying new things. One is hummus. I will say that it isn't really bad, but to me very bland. Which makes it just as hard to eat as something that tastes bad. The brand in the picture has other flavors, so maybe that would help??

I also tried Kashi's 7 Grain crackers. When you first take a bite, they seem to have a lot of flavor, however they lose their taste very quickly. By the third or fourth cracker they are essentially tasteless.

I really need to find snacks that are yummy, as well as good for me.

They're ok...


Alright, one of my friends that is trying to eat more healthy recommended these chips. Well, they are good with dips. However they are YUCKY for nachos!!! Whatever oils are in them come out when you microwave them, and it just makes them tastes bad!!!

First step

I am starting this blog to record my journey of becoming more heathly. I want start eating better, exercising more, feeling better about how I look, just feeling better, and lose weight.
Here is what I am going to do. I am going to make small daily goals. In hopes that by making smaller goals daily it will be easier to actually do them. For example, tomorrow make a goal to drink no soda, and to drink at least 34 ounces of water.
I am not planning on making any major changes, just little ones that over time will be come major changes.
I will try and do a weekly update, to let everyone know how it is going.
